Feast for Farmers @ Heifer Station

Heifer Station Wines in conjunction with Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak (RCOD) partnered to deliver the 2019 Feast for Farmers, a not-for-profit long lunch held in the bull paddock at Heifer Station Wines. RCOD collected, accounted for and disbursed the funds raised and with the assistance of Givit, a national not-for-profit company connecting those who have with those who need. The local communities willingness to donate time, money and resources is proof that the people of Orange and Cabonne are united in the challenge facing our farmers. The full acquittal of the >$40000 raised is attached in the pdf here.

The 2020 Feast For Farmers was postponed due to COVID-19 and it is hoped it will be held in October. The ticket was going to include bus transport to and from the event, and 4 wines with matching canapes to eat as you meander through the Heifer Station vineyard to The Bull Paddock. A large grazing table was to be provided by Groundstone Café and live music by Robbie Mortimer and his band to dance the afternoon away. Live auctions and raffles were to be held on the day with all proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak for distribution amongst farming communities in need. RCOD hopes that this event can still proceed in the future.
